TCC#62 - Don’t stop ’till you get enough
Dave is a healthy scratch for this episode, so we reached into our farm system and plucked Sean Zanberg from Waiting For Stanley to join us on this episode. He’s made an appearance before, but his blog is a great Canucks (…and Maple Leafs) fan blog with plenty of opinions and great photoshop jobs that only he can whip up.

We go a bit free range on this one, taking on the bandwagon hoopla, Chris Pronger, Jim Hughson leaving Sportsnet for CBC, and a look at what’s to come for the remainder of this season. We’re all pulling for a big finish to this season, staying on the bus, waiting for the rest of you to hop on board.

TCC#61 - Searching for Ultimate Canucks at the 2008 Open Practice
Last Sunday we were fortunate enough to be invited down to GM Place for the Canucks Open Practice.

Aside from covering the usual episode topics, we hung out with and interviewed the guys from the Ultimate Canucks Search, as well as one of the Ultimate Fans, Richard Loat (of Facebook application fame).
JJ got on the microphone to interview passers-by, while we also got the chance to sit down with Kent - the voice behind the We Are All Canuckleheads podcast.
We had a blast, and it was great to have the entire gang together to record one of those rare “face to face” episodes.

TCC#60 - Keeping Up Appearances
Things are looking up for the Canucks (congrats to those who have managed to stay on the bandwagon). JJ, Alanah and John convened to discuss the latest games, injury updates, and other news from the league and around the organization.

Special announcements this episode:
- The Crazy Canucks will be hosting a “sports blogging and podcasting” panel at this weekend’s Northern Voice. Our session will be during the 2:15 - 2:55 time slot and there will be plenty of time for questions involving anything in the sports blogging realm.
- We will also be making an appearance at the Canucks Open Practice on Sunday. Watch for us recording live with the Ultimate Canucks Search team in the concourse. The Open Practice doesn’t cost a thing (except maybe a service charge) and it’s always a great event for the entire family. Stop by and see JJ, Alanah, Dave, John and Rebecca this Sunday!
TCC#59 - Hockey Community Warm Fuzzies
Even though our boys are struggling, the new kids are getting their sea legs and Colorado handed us our butts on a platter last Saturday, we’re still pretty optimistic. Speaking to the last 10 games where we’re 4-6, we look forward to the next road trip, securing a nice and comfy playoff spot and talk about some of the players we could have picked up, if we had the chance.
As we all chime in from our “studios”, JJ’s with a view of the Air Canada Centre, this episode is complete with warm fuzzies of the Hockey Day in Canada variety, and tales of communities rallying behind their favourite teams.

TCC#58 - Cardiac Kids on the Corner
What would you expect while our team is currently sitting outside a playoff spot? A drunken, raw and rant-filled episode of course!

We go mobile for this quickie episode while our team is on a downward spiral. Dave and John take to the streets and record their thoughts on our recent loses while tossing in some speculation, rumours, and flat out wake up calls to the team and some fans. Just for kicks, Dave even throws in a shout out to the Agridome… and something to do with horses.
1 commentTCC#57 - Broken All Stars
It’s two Bollwitts and JJ again for tonight’s episode where we discuss the latest loses, last night’s shootout victory and the buzz machine that is Vancouver media. We dive into this Sunday’s All Star game as Atlanta’s turn hosting is already proving to be a challenge from a viewer’s perspective.

TCC#56 - Extra Puck Time
Just like the Canucks, we’re missing a fair share of our crew tonight. Alanah and Dave are healthy scratches, but JJ, John, and Rebecca gather for an episode that runs longer than we thought it would. That usually happens whenever we plan to have a short episode, but it’s so easy to talk hockey for us.
- Record as of this episode: 25-17-5
Northwest Division: 2nd
Western Conference: 5th
We look at the last five games, break down things we liked and didn’t liked, talk about new faces and faces we miss, and look ahead to a fun and rare four game home stand. There are also a variety of other things we talk about, but it’s hard to remember right now. It’d just be better if you listen.

TCC#55 - The battle against the New Yorks
Surprising enough, we are all together for this episode, but just for a brief time. Dave chimes in by phone from downtown Vancouver as we gather all of our thoughts on the games against the Rangers and Islanders. We also cover a variety of topics regarding the team in terms of new players, Superskills, ownership of the team, the coming All-Star Game, and other news topics about the NHL.

TCC#54 - Happy Hockey-days
So it’s been a while since the last episode. Big deal, wanna fight about it? And truth be told, the end of the year got really hectic for us to all link up and get a new one recorded. We tried a few times, but the real world kept getting in the way, not to mention a string of Canucks games. We love our podcast, but recording during the games? Not unless you’re buying the beer.
Anyhow, the crew is back in form, but Alanah is a healthy scratch. The rest of the crazies gather together to reflect on the past few weeks and talk a little hockey. Of course we’ve got the Canucks, but we also get into the Spangler Cup, World Juniors Championship, and the very impressive Winter Classic in Buffalo.
Nearing the half way point in the season, there is much about the Canucks to discuss, and we do our best to sum up the action since our last episode. As always, we look ahead to the coming games, anxious to see both New York teams come to town for the first time in five years, and there is even some Surrey love.

TCC#53 - Pittsburgh night in Vancouver
There are only four of us in this episode, but Alanah shall return again soon. In the meantime, we all gathered together before the game tonight against the L.A. Kings to get you some of our thoughts on the last few games that have been.
- Record as of this episode: 16-10-2
Northwest Division: 1st
Western Conference: 2nd
We hit the last few games to give our thoughts on how they went, but a lot focus comes back to the recent game in Vancouver against the Penguins. There was a lot of build up to the game, and we all feel like it lived up to be quite the event. We also look ahead to the coming games while looking even further at the new schedule that will take affect next year. We also hear from a listener in Seattle about his thoughts on the NHL expanding more into the Pacific Northwest.
