We go a bit free range on this one, taking on the bandwagon hoopla, Chris Pronger, Jim Hughson leaving Sportsnet for CBC, and a look at what’s to come for the remainder of this season. We’re all pulling for a big finish to this season, staying on the bus, waiting for the rest of you to hop on board.

One of these days, all of us will be back together for a full episode, but Alanah is pushing forward with some great segments that she has recorded to cover the first two games of the regular season for the Canucks. She even reaches out to Mike “The Yankee Canuck” to get some of his thoughts during an intermission of the first game, and JJ chimes in with his thoughts on the first loss to San Jose and then an outstanding OT win over Calgary.

Game one against Anaheim was a difficult one for Canucks fans. A 5-1 loss with Luongo getting pulled in the third period, but that didn’t stop Alanah from making the podcast rounds on this episode. She is able to extend our playoff coverage by getting Earl Sleek, a Ducks fan blogger from The Battle of California, on the phone after he attended the game at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Sleek gives his perspective on the series opener as well as the Canucks fan presence at the game. The second half of this episode, Alanah links up with J.J. by phone to get his thoughts on the game.

We get to know him and look ahead to the game the Canucks will have this weekend against his favorite team, the Detroit Red Wings. Yes, it’s difficult to not talk about Bertuzzi being there now.

A new thing we’re trying is calling in after a game at GM Place, John and Rebecca being the suckers to try it out after an overtime loss to the Wild. We also are starting look towards the road ahead since the playoffs are coming into sight, and Paul chimes in with his perspective on how everything is going this season.

A momentous episode for the history of our podcast, we have the first guest join us, and there is an outnumbering of females to male ratio. Loxy from an Edmonton Oiler fan blog, Hot Oil, joins in on the discussion, especially her take on the two wins over the team so near to her heart. We also hash out the loss to Calgary in between the four points we got last Thursday and tonight. Unfortunately, Dave was unable to join us for this episode.

The division continues to be a tough battle, and it was really great to have Loxy on the podcast to get an outside view of how other teams view the competition that the Canucks bring. And since the schedule debate continues to be a hot topic, we pose the question to Loxy as well.
