TCC#73 – The one game winning streak
We have a quick turn around since the last episode, and even though there has only been two games, there’s still a lot to talk about in Canuckland.
- Record as of this episode: 23-20-8
Northwest Division: 2nd
Western Conference: 7th
The losing skid has been broken, we cover the Mats Sundin topic once again, try to figure out why the seats in the lower bowl have a variety of noticeable lack of bodies lately, wonder why our PK is lacking, and try to answer the question of why we just traded Mike Brown away to Anaheim in order to get Nathan McIvor back (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I was able to listen on the way home tonight…to set the record straight, I was the one that mentioned that the trade for McIver could have been a message from management to O’Brien. But, JJ, with his great knowledge and insight into the numbers, has convinced me otherwise.
But, I still like the conspiracy theory of it all. I am still of the thought that Sundin is more of a distraction to the team than a help…despite his play. In the long run, his acquisition will hurt the team
OK…I am back to watching the Beanpot…and then the Canucks v Hurricanes. Whew…too many games available on the internet and not enough time.
Great show, guys. I’m heading out to Vancouver for a couple of weeks (7th-23rd)… count me in if you’re doing a podcast while I’m out there… or least a beer.
Re: The Brown/McIver deal… wasn’t Mike Brown a little redundant? We’ve got several forward scrappers (with Darcy H. in the line-up most nights, Mike Brown spends his time in the press box…), and like was mentioned in the podcast, we seem to have a fairly shallow D pool… And if I recall, Vigneault seemed to like McIver quite a bit…
