TCC#65 - Getting our hopes up
At this point, we’re undefeated. Sure, it’s the pre-season, but we’re not complaining about a 6-0 record thus far. New faces are impressing us, a new coaching style seems to be working well, and the new lines are producing better than anyone has really expected. We also got our answer about who will be captain this season, so there is something to be said about that. Rebecca is a not so healthy scratch for this one, but the rest of the crew gathers with their homework in tow on some new faces on our lineup.
Contest: Take a picture with our picture!
We’ve been mentioning it, and now it’s come true. Your TCC crew is popping up on posters in SkyTrain stations and bus stops around the lower mainland. If you see us, snap a photo of you with us, where ever that might be, and submit it to The Crazy Canucks Flickr Pool. Your photo will have its opportunity to show up on the front page of our site, but there’s more!Submitting a picture to the Flickr pool enters you into a draw for two tickets to the Canucks Open Practice on October 26, 2008. Thanks to J.J. and the Canucks Hockey Blog, you can get two tickets in the fourth row of the lower bowl. A very up close experience to see some of your favorite Canucks on the ice, so bring your camera and add those photos to the pool as well! Deadline for submissions is 11:59PM PT on Wednesday, October 22, 2008.
Get ready for the regular season to start. Go Canucks!

OK…so the first bit of graffiti I throw up on that picture above is a big ol’ bottle of Schlitz Malt Liquor in the hand and the beer flowing into the mouth!

hey i was just listening to #65 and heard you guys talking about the live stream feed for the preseason and it worked fine for me in wellington new zealand. If they could do this more often i`d be over the moon cos we get no hockey here at all, i have to rely on team 1040 live audio stream which is also great but if you guys can flex your canucks mussles for us guys on the other side of the planet that would be great. oh yeah thanks for the shout out. GO CANUCKS!!!!
Hey guys,
Love the podcasts…I’m a Canuck fan trapped in the ‘hockey is a sport?’ US. Keep up the good work. Any tips on how I can mask my IP address to a B.C. IP so I can maybe pick up a streaming game would be a HUGE bonus!
Take care and you can put this in stone: Bernier for 50pts

Darren Barefoot, Canucks fan and (heh) “A”-list blogger posted a great nugget of info for those who must MacGyver their way to watch the games, especially those pesky East coast tilts.
Checkout his article for the whole low-down about How to Watch Canucks Games Over the Web (snippet follows):
