TCC#64 - Live from Penthouse Suite 519 at GM Place
We’re still in the pre-season swing of things, but the Canucks (yes, the organization themselves) invited us to the first, home game at GM Place as a bit of thanks for the promotional material they asked us to be apart of. Who are we to say no?
The whole crew gathers together in the midst of the first intermission in a game where the Canucks beat the Oilers, 2-1. We give a bit of a run down on why we’re there, initial impressions of the team from the game the night prior against Edmonton as well, and give you some tidbits on what we all expect from the rapidly approaching regular season.

Special programming note: DaveO’s appendix will no longer be joining the podcast. As of this past weekend, that relationship has come to a painful yet mutual agreement on this decision. Thankfully, we still have DaveO.

Even on Demerol and in pain, you’re still the man, DaveO. And hell… who needs an appendix, anyway??
Hey guys!
Fantastic to have you all back. The summer has been a nightmare, no hockey, no crazys and s**t weather here in Scotland. So welcome back team.
Its been a funny old time with the Nucks. Im not too sure about Gillis. Found his first few interviews argumentitive , lmaybe just trying to stamp his authority from day one. Im sure there is better ways of doing it. I will resrve judgement on him till the end of the season. He better find us a major player and soon! And NOT Sundin!!!!!!!!!!!…Im surprsied Vigneault kept his jobs, thought he would be the first to go.
Nazzys gone, thats no surprise, it was time for him to go. For the only reason than to re-find his game and form.
Morrison to the Ducks, My god, why?
Must say this. Luc Bordon, such a promising young, canucks player. A sad lose to his family and too all the Canucks family.
Trevor Linden, what a guy! Happy retirement! I was chocked! What a night in December will be…Cant wait to see his number in the rafters! Such an honour for the greatest Canucks ever. Is that going to be a “Hockney Night in Canada” game? I hope so, cause thats the only Nucks tv games I get “live” here in Scotland.
Lots of good signings and lots good prospects and a good start in the challenge games.
Loungo announced as captain. Obvious choice, my only gripe would be, is his head in the right place now?…it wasnt last season.
I think we will make the play-offs, maybe wont go that far in but think we will make it.
Good to hear your all getting some recognition from the Nucks management, well done!
And if the season doesnt go well?…Well DaveO you better send me some of that Demerol!
Great to have you back guys.
Take care,
Steve-uk……Go Nucks!!!!!!
