TCC#9 - Manic Depress..ing Canucks
Our boys keep us going on a roller coaster ride only a true Canucks fan can appreciate. A win in Detroit, a disgrace in Nashville and follow up embarrassment in Colorado are all discussed along with the usual banter and opinions. Where we need improvement, what was Viggy thinking and various happenings around the league round out this week’s topics.
Record as of this podcast: 11-12-1 (4th in the Northwest Division)
We’re without Dave in this episode, which may be a good thing since Rebecca takes a little shot at former Canuck, Jovo. We’re looking ahead to a homestand and the return of Anson Carter to the Garage, which excites John to no end. Finally, JJ and Alanah share some controversy floating around the web about the NHL All Star ballot.

Since I am an equal opportunity abuser (Americans are supposed to be equal opportunity in everything)…Was Dave too drunk to be on the podcast this week?
I also get the distict feeling that if I walk up to Rebecca in a mall and just bark out, ‘Bulis!’ She will immediately go into a rant.
I can’t tell you how connected I am feeling to the season by listening to your little podcast. It’s been great to be able to connect about each game and hear what people are thinking that have either watched it closely on TV…or been at the arena.
I have the luxury of listening to games on the internet…and then making a decision whether or not I jump out there to grab the torrent file or not. Detroit?! Nobody capped it…disappointed. Nashville…uhh…err…I’ll skip it. Your podcast helps bridge what I am missing in between…kudos.
If you did that I might “EEK” and run away, or say “Bless you”. No only jovo gets my full rant… but he’s not our problem anymore.
First of all, I like(ed) Jovo, so STOP that, Rebecca!
Secondly, Bulis actually looked like a hockey player who cared in the Columbus game Tuesday night. From about halfway through the game onwards, I was almost confused. Looking at the #38 on his jersey and constantly checking my notes, wondering “Is that REALLY Bulis?”
(It might not have been a monumental improvement by most people’s standards, but I’m easily impressed at this point…)
P.S. Thanks for the nice comments, Expat. Good to know people (besides us!) are having some fun with the ‘cast!
Aw there’s so many Canuck players (and coaches) to dislike throughout the years, Jovo’s just the most recent. I don’t gripe THAT much… probably only as often as Alanah drunken live-blogs
I didn’t know Green broke his toe - Chouinard will be replacing him in the game tonight [tsn]. Anyone else think much of Schultz who came up for the CBJ game?
I’ll take Schultz over Bulis right now. The kid has got some spunk…and one hell of a wrist shot. He’s hungry…Bulis is not.
I have to say though…Jovo was the only thing between the ‘nucks being decent and terrible. Just look to last season and their record when he was out injured. But, I am also very happy that he is closer to the golf courses in AZ too.
For the record, i am never too drunk to record ;-). However, there are time i really shouldn’t record - like the other night at the Giants game where i attempted to drink all the red wine in the Coliseum. Tune into the a forthcoming Canucks Outsider to hear my rambling and reminiscing.
