Vancouver is a brutal place to play goal, I fully agree with GZ Expat. And the thing about all this is that I HATE being perceived as the anti-Canuck-goalie-fan. But the fact of the matter is this: Yo!Luongo costs Vancouver $6 million (plus) and so this team can't afford offense. (And so there IS no offense.) Anyone remember when Vancouver (and the Western Conference generally) were considered "offensive" teams? Geez, I miss tracking those kinda scoring stats... Despite Luongo's decent effort and his thin defense, I think he's doing a pretty good job. But, I really agree with Alanah, he is very suspect top shelf. It's a good thing NHL players today don't know how to lift the puck, like they could in the 80's (is it the sticks?)..because Luongo would be lit up night after night.
